Banknote Identifier
Point your camera at any historical banknote and AI identifies it — country, series, denomination, and the story behind it. Built for collectors, shipped to production.
Identifying a banknote takes real expertise
Currency collecting — numismatics — is a deep hobby, and identifying an unfamiliar banknote (its country, series, year, rarity) usually means digging through reference books or forums. I wanted to put that expertise in a camera: point, scan, know what you're holding.
Camera to catalogue, end to end
Built in Flutter with a native camera pipeline feeding into Firebase AI for identification — matching a photographed banknote against its country, series, denomination, and historical context. Identified notes get saved into a personal "scrapbook" collection with rarity and progress tracking, so the app doubles as a cataloguing tool, not just a one-off lookup.
Beyond the AI core, I built the full production shell: Firebase Auth for accounts, in-app purchases via Play Billing for the premium tier, rewarded ads through AdMob, Crashlytics for stability monitoring, and the entire Google Play Store listing and release process.

Banknote Identifier is a fully shipped, production Android app — published, monetized, and monitored. Every layer is mine: the camera and AI pipeline, the Firebase backend, the billing and ads integration, and the Play Store launch itself.
